A planning application for Waterford City and County Council’s proposed €250 million North Quays project is expected to be lodged by the end of 2017.
The proposed infrastructure redevelopment project includes:
- Major shopping centre
- Offices
- Apartments
- Leisure facilities
- 2 hotels
Roughan & O’Donovan will ensure that the key infrastructure elements necessary to underpin the functional viability of the development are in place, including:
- Relocation of Plunkett Railway Station within the North Quays zone
- Design of a 250m long ‘iconic’ bridge crossing of the River Suir
- Preparation of the environmental and flood risk assessments
Sinn Fein TD for Waterford, Deputy David Cullinane, said:
Government support for the North Quay's development is vital to ensuring that the city, county and region can grow and prosper.
