Congratulations to Senior Engineer, Robert Corbally, who has been selected as a finalist for the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI) Future Leader Award 2024. The winner will be announced at an awards dinner taking place in the InterContinental Hotel in Dublin on Friday, 22 March.
Robert is an international expert on structural health monitoring and traffic engineering. Since joining Roughan & O’Donovan (ROD) in 2012, he has worked on a wide variety of projects, from bridges and transportation schemes to EU research projects.
Robert believes that by harnessing technological advancements engineers can solve many of the challenges facing the industry today. He has established a specialist team of engineers and data analysts within ROD to provide clients with science-based decision-making tools aimed at optimising the long-term value of their infrastructure investments.
Robert recently earned a PhD from University College Dublin and has received multiple national and international awards for his work on the development of novel technologies for bridge condition monitoring. He maintains close links with universities through lecturing and engagement in collaborative research. He has published several papers in leading international journals and regularly presents his work at international conferences and events.
