Roughan & O’Donovan (ROD) is calling on graduates to join its 2019 graduate development programme.
The two-year programme offers successful applicants the opportunity to gain experience across a range of discipline areas, including bridges, buildings, transportation, water, site and research.
Participants will build broad technical and professional practice skills while working on four varied and challenging rotations, each of six months duration.
They will be supported by experienced mentors, who will help them to decide what they want from their careers and keep them on track to achieving their goals.
While most of the learning will be on-the-job, participants will also attend in-house and external training courses, including Engineers Ireland’s CPD Certificate in Professional Engineering.
With guidance from some of the most respected people in the engineering industry in Ireland, participants will be encouraged to believe in themselves and their ability to contribute to ROD’s team.
Speaking at the launch of the programme, ROD’s Managing Director, Harry Meighan, said:
Our programme provides graduates with an understanding of the broad spectrum of works associated with civil engineering projects. By working on live civil and structural engineering projects, our graduates gain the breadth of experience they need to become well-rounded engineers.
ROD will be participating in several college careers fairs over the coming weeks, including events in Trinity College Dublin on 18 October and Dublin Institute of Technology on 24 October.
Closing date for entry is 30 November 2018
