About the role

This is an ideal role for an ambitious individual looking to progress their career and pursue further accounting qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly reports for our board of directors
  • Work with our project managers to ensure correct revenue recognition
  • Credit control and management of accounts receivable function
  • Maintain subconsultants register
  • Manage subconsultants’ invoices
  • Project reporting to our project managers and directors
  • Manage and prepare our UK payroll
  • Assist our financial controller with quarterly forecasts
  • Assist our financial controller with work-in-progress figures
  • Reconcile P&L and B/S nominal ledger accounts 
  • Support the production of fee invoices, credit notes and issuing to clients
  • Manage the electronic filing and archiving of contracts and fee-related documents
  • Assist our financial controller with insurance renewals
  • Manage intercompany accounting postings 
  • Collaborate with our change management team to further enhance the efficiency of our finance department
  • Undertake additional administrative tasks as requested

Essential

  • Qualified accountant or part-qualified accountant nearing the completion of your exams
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar finance role
  • Knowledge of VAT guidelines
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Excel and SharePoint in particular
  • Strong organisational and teamwork skills
  • Good multitasking skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to strict deadlines
  • Fluency/high level of proficiency in spoken and written English

Previous experience using Sage Professional 2022
