Summary
Constructed in 1925, Corporation Bridge is a Grade II listed, six-span bridge crossing the River Freshney in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. It is of early steel rivetted construction and incorporates a rolling bascule “Scherzer” moving span.
Roughan & O’Donovan (ROD) is supporting the contractor, Spencer Bridge Engineering Ltd., in undertaking refurbishment works to the bridge, including inspections and assessments, steelwork repairs, deck replacement design and several design studies.

Our team has adopted a responsive and pragmatic approach to the delivery of the project, including attending site on a regular basis and arranging in-person meetings with the wider stakeholders as necessary.
