Our Team

John is an associate at ROD and leads our UK bridges team in Otley, Leeds.

Since joining the company in 2019, John has worked on a broad range of technically challenging transportation projects, including the Great Yarmouth Third River Crossing, N5 Westport to Turlough Road, DART+ and a major suspension bridge in the UK. Prior to this, he worked on several major UK infrastructure schemes, including the Forth Road Bridge, Humber Bridge and mainline railways.

John’s experience includes undertaking supervisor and project manager responsibilities within NEC contracts. A chartered civil engineer, he is the author of several technical papers and regularly presents at conferences. John was a co-author of CIRIA C764 Defects in Hidden Bridge Components. He sits on Proc ICE Bridge Engineering’s Editorial Advisory Panel and serves as both the Vice-Chair of the Steel Construction Certification Scheme and a corresponding member of the SCI’s Steel Bridges Group. He is also member of the Welding Institute.

John is the administrator of ROD’s Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) training scheme and a Supervising Civil Engineer.
