Sustainable development

Sustainable development is our key focus in the practical application of the Design Manual for Urban Roads and Streets (DMURS), for which ROD Director Seamus MacGearailt was a peer reviewer.

Our experience of planning procedures extends to the relatively new Strategic Housing Development process for large-scale applications direct to An Bord Pleanála (Regulations of May 2017).

Our transport planning team guides the design of new urban settlements with a focus on sustainable transport, walking and cycling, low-speed traffic systems, mobility management plans and road safety audits.

Our environmental services include ecological surveys, screening assessment, Environmental Impact Assessments and Appropriate Assessments.
