Andrew Thomson is an associate at ROD.
A chartered engineer, Andrew has more than 18 years’ experience working with multidisciplinary design teams on public and private building schemes across a range of sectors, including healthcare, residential, commercial, education and community. This is in addition to his previous experience working as a resident engineer on a broad range of bridge and public realm projects.
Since joining ROD’s buildings team in 2003, Andrew’s main focus has been on site development and structural design. His project experience includes the National Children’s Hospital Satellite Centres, Student Housing at Maynooth University, Malahide Parish Centre, Coultry 4, 5 and 6 and the Oldtown Schools. He has also served as project manager and Employer’s Representative on several building projects, including Transport Infrastructure Ireland’s Motorway Operations Control Centre and Dublin City Council's social housing regeneration schemes.
Andrew guest lectures in the School of Civil and Structural Engineering in Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin).
